His references are a reflection of an upbringing that was both spanish and english, the flair of Miami, a west coast sensibility, the works of many fantasy authors, growing up queer in a christian world, the Cuban Diaspora, being a 1st generation american, his ancestors emigration from Spain, the beauty of the american west, and growing up nerdy as hell in the 90s.

Amaro worked in Branding and Advertising in Miami after graduating college for a short stint. He then spent the better part of a decade working in Los Angels and San Francisco for a tech company that was successfully acquired in 2020. During that time he started to find his calling outside of the world of tech; creating VR experiences for clients like Marvel, Digital art, and interiors for clients like Credit Karma.

Today, Amaro is a full-time creative; focusing on digital art, fine art, writing, and trying his hand at interior space planning and lighting design.
